Valentine Public School Pitch & Practice Nets Complete
Well it has taken over 12 long months since Phil Jones & myself started the campaign to turn Valentine Public School into a cricket showpiece. I am proud to say it is finally complete & ready for the 2008/09 season. The VPS Cricket Centre will be home to the under 10's & 11's cricket teams on the weekend & the training facility for the super 8's under 10's, 11's, Milo & Crick Hit Programs. There are many people to thank for their committed contribution over many long weekends. I personally cannot thank Phil Jones enough for his contribution. Other members old & new who helped included Neil Best, Glen Schrader, Chris Bonner, Dave Hiscock, Paul Gray, Elliott Best, Troy & Debbie Potts, Greg Mahoney, The James clan & a few I am sure I have missed. Together with a fantastic principle in Grant McCallum we have shown what working together can achieve stand proud everyone we have completed the impossible.

Valentine Eleebana Cricket Club blogsopt
Welcome to the offical Valentine Eleebana Cricket Club blogspot.
Although in its early stages at the moment it by the time the 2008/09 season rolls around this, together with the offical Valentine Eleebana Cricket Club website (http://www.vecc.com.au/) which will provide the hub of communication and reading throughout the season & beyond. Rather than opting for long and busy newsletters the VECC Blog will be a weekly diary a rundown on what has gone on the previous weeks in junior and senior ranks. Stars of the week will be featured and efforts acknowledged.
At the moment the hardworking VECC committee has already been at work planning for a huge summer. If you are reading this for the first time and you are considering moving to the VECC there is no time like the present to say you are interested.
As the season progresses this will be a great place for coaches & managers to place comments, start discussions or just ask for ideas on various issues encountered throughout the season.
Whilst the website will provide comprehensive photos and information the blog will provide the rundown and diary of the season, hopefully this will be the place for now and the future.
Enjoy the blog, comment and add your thoughts. The only rules are no bagging or troublemaking comments, be supportive and constructive. Essentially if you would not like it said to you then don't say it.
Much more to come, for now enjoy.
